Arc Raiders U4GM Guide to Squad Positioning

Know when to use a key or enter a high-value interior by watching nearby squads, checking exits, and deciding whether to wait, push in, or move on.

In Arc Raiders, a locked room can turn a promising run into a difficult fight if a squad rushes through the door without checking its surroundings. Players looking for ARC Raiders BluePrints should treat every valuable interior as a positioning decision first and a reward opportunity second.

The best moment to use a key is not necessarily the first moment it becomes available. A short pause can reveal whether the team has a safe route out, enough time to search, and the space to respond if another group arrives.

Read the Area Before Approaching

Stop short of the entrance and watch the routes leading toward it. Moving figures, open doors, and recent activity around nearby cover can suggest that another squad is close. Look beyond the doorway as well: rooftops, windows, and elevated ground may give opponents a clear view of anyone entering or leaving.

Listen for footsteps, gunfire, and other sounds that indicate direction and distance. A single sound rarely tells the whole story, so give it a few seconds and see whether the movement continues toward your position or fades away. Avoid making unnecessary noise while the team gathers information.

Keep an Exit Available

Before using the key, identify more than one way to withdraw. If the room has only one practical exit, consider what cover the squad can reach after stepping outside. A valuable interior is far less appealing when opponents can hold the doorway and force everyone into the same narrow path.

Spacing matters just as much inside. One player can watch the approach while teammates search, but that player should remain close enough to receive support. Avoid crowding the entrance or spreading so far apart that an encounter becomes several isolated fights.

Three Choices When Another Squad Is Nearby

Imagine reaching a locked interior as another group moves along the next street. Entering immediately may work if the group is clearly moving away and the squad can search quickly. It is risky, however, if the noise of entry reveals your position or the other team can return before you leave.

Waiting is often the safer choice when the nearby group has not noticed you. Hold cover with a view of their route, keep communications brief, and enter only after their movement creates a reasonable opening. Set a limit on how long to wait; remaining stationary can attract a different threat.

Rotating to another objective is sensible when the interior has poor exits, the other squad is lingering, or the remaining time is too short for a controlled search. Leaving the key unused preserves an option for later without placing the entire run at risk.

Know When to Stop Searching

Agree on a departure point before opening the room. If footsteps draw closer, the route outside becomes exposed, or the search takes longer than expected, leave together rather than pursuing one more container. A coordinated exit is often more valuable than whatever remains inside.

Whether planning a careful entry or considering ARC Raiders buy BluePrints options between runs, remember that timing, communication, and a clear escape route give the squad its best chance of bringing rewards home.
